Exactly four and a half months following Russell Martin's initial media briefing as Rangers manager, successor Danny Rohl met with reporters at Ibrox for the initial occasion.

The magnitude of the challenge ahead of him is widely recognized, given his predecessor's turbulent and unsuccessful 123-day tenure.

The ex- Sheffield Wednesday manager was joined by chairman Andrew Cavenagh, along with the frequently questioned pair of football director Kevin Thelwell and CEO Stewart.

However, what exactly was revealed from the young German's maiden media outing as the club's manager?

Rohl's Main Priority - Victory is Everything

A single message came through clearly from the new coach's first appearance before the Scottish media - he recognizes the necessity to secure victories, and achieve this quickly.

His predecessor Martin managed just 17 games and four months in charge, so the question emerged about what timeframe Rohl thinks is realistic to turn around the struggling squad.

Although deftly sidestepping a specific response that might create later expectations, the coach's message was quite clear.

"Hopefully very quickly," he stated. "This is crucial.
"In football you have not much opportunity. You can discuss long-term vision but we know it concerns immediate results and the short-term is about securing victories. That is my requirement.
"Another aspect is also clear - I require all players to comprehend how we want to perform. I return to my main theme: victory comes first, entertaining football and unity. If you follow this order, I believe that I'll stay very long here."

Pressure is Normal

Martin required security protection to exit the Falkirk Stadium after his final game in charge.

We've seen how toxic situations can become at sports teams when performances are poor. Demonstrations have almost become a regular aspect of the matchday atmosphere on both sides of Glasgow currently.

As Rangers' youngest ever head coach, the inquiry asked about what qualities Rohl believes he possesses that would allow him to handle, let alone excel, in one of the highest-pressure positions in UK soccer?

"I think pressure in this business is normal," he stated. "You must learn that rapidly.
"I believe some people could reference my age but I have been a decade and a half in this career. I experienced an excellent opportunity to be at the German club and serve as only an assistant coach, but I experienced the reality to be a head coach and the demands you face.
"You begin getting results and then some critics will say you must play attractive football. That becomes the stage but precisely what I want. I enjoy that challenge and I'm excited for the future."

The Sporting Director Explains Chermiti Signing & Hiring Family Member

Kevin Thelwell media conference

The media pack had plenty of questions from the media directed at Thelwell.

Much discussion has concerned the appointment of Robbie Thelwell as head of recruitment, with fans skeptical about his credentials for the position.

However, he justified and clarified the choice to bring his son to Ibrox.

"It's always awkward to listen and in appearance I think we all agreed when we took this step to appoint him that he would be viewed negatively," Thelwell stated.
"The truth of circumstances is that we aim to attract the very best talent here.
"My view on Robbie's career and situation is he required no family help in soccer.
"He's worked at Aston Villa as head scout, after which he moved to Norwich City as head of scouting and then got promoted to player pathways manager.
"Prior to our hiring him, two Premier League teams wanted to sign him. Our approach right at the beginning of proceedings was consult with Patrick, Andrew and vice-chairman Paraag Marathe about this situation.
"I was extremely transparent and I believe Robbie probably underwent a stricter process than anybody else employee by this football club.
"I'm certain is that he will work constantly to achieve success for Rangers and I'm looking forward to him proving that he's going to be an excellent employee for Rangers."

Additionally, Thelwell supported the acquisition of striker Chermiti, who arrived at the club for a reported initial fee of eight million pounds, after failing to score in 24 appearances for Everton.

The sporting director who brought the Portuguese youth international to Liverpool from Sporting Lisbon - again for significant money in a £15m transfer.

He was asked if he supports his expensive signing, who is yet to register in seven matches for the club.

"Absolutely, completely," Thelwell answered. "I believe the striker is a player who's got great ability.
"I haven't doubted him whatsoever. Similarly, I think the manager will help to maximize the potential out of Youssef.
"It's very initial stages for him, he's a young talent and of course with young talents they sometimes take time.
"But I'm certain throughout of his career at the club he's going to prove that he's a highly capable footballer."

The CEO Understands Fan Frustration and Hurt

Stewart was also in the media scrutiny, given the criticism that has been directed his way by some club own supporters.

Additionally, there was a sign in the stadium during the recent tie with Dundee United inviting Stewart - and Thelwell - to pack his bags before they were packed for him.

Similar to the sporting director, Stewart didn't evade the issue.

"I totally understand the frustration and hurt that fans are feeling because results recently haven't met expectations and no one is satisfied with those," he stated.
"The hurt and frustration fans experience is matched inside the boardroom.
"Also understand that there must exist a channel for those frustrations and as chief executive, I'm responsible.
"I'm a lightning rod for such issues and my responsibility as a
